Our Story

Built from the Ground Up, Still Here

MMPAV started with a commitment to show up prepared and make unforgettable moments. Nearly three decades later, we produce some of the largest corporate events in Southern California: lighting rigs, AV systems, live streaming, and stage management, with the same devotion to every detail.

Meet the Founder

Mike Ivey

Mike Ivey has been producing corporate events in Southern California since 1997. He started MiMedia Productions with one crew, a commitment to pre-production discipline, and a belief that the best technical work is the kind no attendee ever notices.

Over 28 years, that approach has scaled to some of the largest conferences, galas, and leadership summits in Orange County and Los Angeles. Lighting rigs, LED walls, AV systems, live streaming, multi-camera video production: Mike's team has handled every piece of the technical stack for hundreds of events without farming out the work to subcontractors. In 2022, MMPAV became the only independent event production company in Southern California to operate a licensed CBRS private mobile network. That means no venue WiFi dependency, no per-device fee structures, and a dedicated 4G/5G network built and managed on-site by the same crew running your show. The average savings to a client who uses it instead of the hotel network runs about $70,000 per event.

Mike believes the difference between a good event and a great one is almost always decided in the weeks before load-in, not during the show. Every MMPAV engagement starts with a technical director on the pre-production calls, a documented run of show, and a site walk before a single case is rolled in.
